Imagine being a single parent to twin’s boys, very hard work for anybody, but then imagine the cruel twist of fate to find out that both your little boys were born with a hole in the heart….devastating. 

Imagine giving birth to twin boys, 17 months ago and still not being able to take them home…..heartbreaking.

Imagine someone offering the chance of life, normality and the chance to start a real family life with your precious children……..Amazing.

 

This is what the Boikanyo Foundation, with the help of our wonderful donors gave to Tina Dube and her beautiful twin sons Roy and Ray.

Both Roy and Ray were born with a hole in the heart and have spent every day of their short life in hospital, these two cute little boys have not been able to run and play in the sunshine, make friends or even have a meal around the kitchen table with Mommy.

 

After meeting with the surgeons who work tirelessly alongside Boikanyo to make a difference in the lives of children, Tina immediately agreed to the surgery and after so many months spent worrying about her young sons finally she could see a glimmer of hope for the future.

On the 22nd January 2010, a Patent Ductus Arteriosus Ligation was successfully performed by the Boikanyo team on both little boys, Roy and Ray recovered well and Mom said it was wonderful to see them so happy once the surgery had been performed. Tina was very happy and relieved to see the surgery go so well and was finally able to look forward to a future with her children and to finally be able to take her boys home was a dream come true.
